Post Modernism

Hmmm~~
I first thought that it will be very similar with modernism.
But it was wrong.
In Wiki, it define that postmodernism is a philosophical movement away from
the viewpoint of modernism.
So What Is It Actually?

Hmmmmm~~~
She so cute right? ^^

Okay. Lets get back to the topic.
Erm.
Postmodernism. >.<
During the lecture of this title,
I found out that postmodernism comes the feeling of uncertainty.
There is no certain rules for it.
For modernism, people feel that its weird to look at but they still feel that
it's okay to look at.
But for postmodernism, people will think that it's look like a rubbish
or maybe
WTF was that?
People intend to critic it or discuss about it because of the uncomfortable.
Not much people can except the fact of post modernism.

For example, tattoos and body art.
At first, tattoos were kind of a cool thing for me.
It looks nice on one part of the body.

See!
It looks pretty in a way.
But somehow people wanted to try new stuff
and they start to have body art which is similar with tattoos,
but it can be wash out.

Body art on the whole ENTIRE BODY!!!!
OMG.

Later on, they got to another level.
The design of it start to look 3D.

Finally, people start to tattoo on their whole body.
OMG!!
And IT"S GONNA BE PERMANENT like FOREVER on the body!!!
I know that a small part of tattoo is very very pain.
But
THE WHOLE BODY?
I can't even think of it.

To me, this is too much for it.
I feel scary whenever i see one with my own eyes.
But I believe that maybe 20 or 30 years,
it will somehow be a normal thing happening around.

So, yeah.
Postmodernism is something which cannot be accepted by most of the people.
So if you want to go on to the future,
start adapting it.

" Okie Dokie"
As for me too. XD

  1. Reread the notes on modernism and postmodernism k. In a simple terms:

modernism (move forward to the future) is anti-tradition (keep to the past)

postmodernism can be anti-modernism, which could mean reviving the past, or a kind of supermodernism (move further into the future)

the example you showed of the fully tattooed man is from traditional yakuza (anti-modern); the full bodied 3D (super modern)
